Welcome to WanaBWriters

Dear Visitor,
Welcome to this writer's corner where you have the opportunity to enter into discussions with published as well as unpublished authors. This is the place to share writing experiences; the glitches; the walls, the failures; & the successes. Sharing could mean that "one man's glitch is another man's gain. This is also the place where a writer can introduce his work & can establish his name with other authors. Still in the design phase, WanaB Writers plans on developing a Forum & linking it to its own website. Sign in as an author, in order to be able to open new topics & enjoy the effect that support & encouragement will bring.

  1. Today, I placed an order for a 250 books. Twenty-five are give-aways, but I need to find homes for the rest. Books for my use are released early. It will take three more months for Tate Publishing to officially release the book to the public. I guess there is more to being an author than just writing ! ! !

  2. That little picture of the cover of Win Some Lose Some - The Mother Lode deserves an explanation. First of all, this is a short biography of Joe Ostrenger (Ostrenga)my uncle. He grew up in the small city of Oconto Falls, WI, but left @ the tender age of 14 to start a life of extremes like no other. He was a Non-Conformist who led his Own War Against the Political Establishment

Separating truth from fiction proved to be a challenge during the process of collecting stories from miner-geologist Joe Ostringer. On the face of it and without further investigation, he could have only been described as eccentric. Who would believe that he led a life as footloose and unconventional as Indiana Jones. From bootlegging in the Midwest; to panning for gold in Colorado; to finding treasure in the Yucatan; to worldwide travels and adventures; to daredevil escapades in the West; to business ventures; to prospecting, mining, and eventually finding the mother lode, this adventurer had more stories than he could remember to tell.

At first, collecting stories from an old timer was out of curiosity and without any idea that they were really collectables. Discovering that his strange experiences eventually led him to, singlehandedly, take on the U.S. Dept. of Interior, U.S. Attorney General, Janet Reno, and Secretary of the U.S. Dept. of Interior, Bruce Babbitt, in the nation’s highest courts, changed the way that I looked at the man.

  3. Non-fiction writers should have a field-day if they pick up on the Madison, WI reports of a huge meteor/comet-like object that shot across the sky, last night. UW Madison camera caught it. View TV News Reporter on www.channel3000.com.
